WHAT WE DO
Restoring Hope to the Orphans
The Adoptive Parents Initiative (API) was founded by a group of Ugandan adoptive parents who wanted to create a supportive platform to share their adoption journeys, foster a community of shared experiences, and provide guidance to those navigating the adoption process.
We study adoption trends, barriers, and child welfare to improve policies and support for adoptive families.
Research
We provide guidance for adoptive parents, helping them navigate legal, emotional, and financial challenges.
Guidance
We collaborate with agencies, legal experts, and policymakers to create a more adoption-friendly environment.
Partneships
We advocate for better adoption laws, financial aid, and streamlined processes to help more children find families.
Advocacy
We host adoption fairs, workshops, and family meetups to connect, educate, and celebrate adoptive families.
Events
We offer emotional and community support, connecting adoptive parents with mentors and post-adoption resources.
Support
We educate the public on adoption, debunk myths, and promote the need for permanent homes for abandoned children.
